Diablo IV is coming out in three weeks, and eager fans got to try the game once more last weekend during the last open server test before release. Both good and bad news came out of the previewed build. It looks like Blizzard really listened to the community’s feedback and mixed up the strength of hero classes significantly. But sometimes he went a bit overboard.
For those who had grown accustomed to the necromancer in previous beta tests as an invincible ruler of skeletal legions who instantly tore anything in half in half with a rain of curses and exploding corpses surrounded by his undead minions, a shower of ice awaited. Yes, the necromancer needed a bit of grounding because he was originally so powerful that it was getting pretty boring, but the new version of the hero, with a bit of exaggeration, had trouble killing anything at all.

The developers then quickly modified and strengthened the necromancer’s skeletons. “We can definitely hear your reactions to the necromancer being weakened. I felt him too. Remember, balance is a journey, not a goal, it must be tuned,” Blizzard executive Rod Fergusson wrote on Twitter.
Which, loosely translated, means “the balance will never be”, but let’s be fair and save the scathing comments for the moment when someone in any game of this type really hits the balance one hundred percent. Because no one has ever succeeded. The fact that the heroes will be constantly affected and minor and major adjustments will come practically throughout the life of the game is a completely normal phenomenon.
In addition to them, we can also look forward to observing the Diablo tradition – a new season every three months. Recently, the developers have finally outlined their form in more detail: Every quarter there will be a large update that will bring new content and mechanics. A quest line will always be added to the game with him, which will guide you through the news, so that everyone immediately knows what has changed.
A new battle pass will arrive every time with the update, which will be available in three forms: free, ten dollars and twenty five dollars. By completing it gradually, we will obtain materials, in-game currency and cosmetics. Everything that affects gameplay in any way will be available in the free version of the battle pass. The same promise was made regarding the in-game store – only cosmetics will be available for real money.
Each season will have its own specific theme and focus. The creators have not yet revealed what the first one will be about, we only know that it will start sometime in July. Let us be surprised.
Diablo IV is released on June 6th, owners of the deluxe editions will get to the game a little earlier, already on June 2nd.
