In addition to having revealed that The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has reached 50 million copies sold, bringing the RPG saga to 75 million total units, the latest financial report from CD Projekt RED also revealed details on Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty.
The Polish development house has already specified that the Cyberpunk expansion will be present at the Summer Game Fest 2023, where we will probably be able to delve more into the gameplay and atmospheres of the ambitious DLC. Within its financial report, CD Projekt also disclosed that Phantom Liberty is currently the main focus of the company, which has devoted most of its staff to the development of the expansion with Idris Elba as Agent Solomon Reed.
The second most important project that CD Proket is currently working on is Project Polaris, the new main chapter of the Witcher saga, of which we currently have essentially no details. The team on the game continues to grow compared to the previous updates of the software house, but the same can be said of the other CD Projekt projects: the studio, in fact, is continuing to continuously increase the workforce since December of last year.
CD Projekt has also denied being in talks with Sony in view of a possible acquisition by the Japanese giant.
