After the campaign awaits you in Diablo 4 the Endgame, which accompanies you to the maximum level of 100 – and then? After that, there should still be one Challenge give, which will really challenge you.
With the Nightmare Dungeons, the Fields of Hatred and other activities, there is in Diablo 4 endgame at least something to do on the piece of paper. But the action role-playing game shouldn’t tie you to the screen forever, as Blizzard officials revealed in a recent interview.
Diablo 4: At level 100 the ultimate boss awaits
“[Diablo 4] is not meant to be played forever. There are creatures that can be found on progressively higher levels of difficulty [jenseits von Stufe 100] will continue to fight,” says Joe Piepiora, the game director of Diablo 4, to the English-speaking colleagues at gamesradar. From this point on, however, it would only be about the motivation to push your own character build to the limits and no longer about one seemingly endless grind for new rewards.
However, if you think that you can end the game immediately at level 100, you are wrong. Because before that there will be an ultimate boss fight, for which you need the best possible equipment and really have to understand your character. “At level 100 we have a boss that we want players to face that is balanced to be a very, very special challenge.”
Players who have just reached the maximum level will hardly stand a chance against the unspecified end boss. Instead, you must prepare yourself intensively for the battle and know your build inside and out.
What reward is there?
However, if you eventually reach this goal and defeat the ominous boss, then no new, powerful equipment awaits you. After all, you should already have this in your possession by then. “There are cosmetic items, there are other rewards that you can get from this encounter. But it’s not about getting more gear at that point. It’s about getting the gear to fight that particular boss .”
That’s not the end of Diablo 4, after all, the hellish excursion is designed as a live service game. Thus, new content should be added at regular intervals, including a Battle Pass that takes many hours to complete.
However, before you see all these things, May is still starting a final beta phase to Diablo 4. The final release will then take place on June 6 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
