When fans are waiting for a game like Diablo 4, obviously hope to spend many hours of fun in its company – also by virtue of the name it bears. If, however, you expect a game that can go forward to infinitywithout an ultimate goal, you are way off track.
It was she who made it known Blizzard Entertainment: in an interview granted to GamesRadar, in fact, the director Joe Pepiora explained that the development team has not conceived this return of Diablo to allow your character to grow infinitely, since there will be a “meeting with a boss who will be the apex” and that it is designed to test even the most experienced players – and that will be the final goal of the game.
In the words of the director:
«Diablo 4 it was not intended to be played forever. There are creatures that you will continue to fight against on increasingly higher difficulties [oltre il livello 100, ndr]but this is content where you will go to see how far your build can gorather than to get any rewards because you’re grinding and time is running out, while you’ve passed level 100».
There is indeed a point, shortly after reaching level 100, where according to the director you will already have all the best equipment that can be had: You can still choose to reroll and respec – and then reassign your character’s abilities to try a different build, but there won’t be any superior gear to find.
And, at that point, you will be ready to face the most difficult boss of the Nightmare dungeons.
«When you are at level 100, we have a boss encounter that represents the pinnacle, we want players to deal with it because it was balanced to be something out of the ordinary, it is extremely demanding» assured the director. «Players who reach level 100 will have a lot of difficulty dealing with this boss».
«What we expect is that you take your class, understand your build, push everything to the max and have learned very well how the fights work. That’s how you might get the better of it.”
Blizzard’s idea, however, explains the director, is not to face this challenge to obtain valuable equipment, but to have a sense of completionto be able to say that even the strongest enemy of Diablo 4 has been defeated.
«The point is this: to say to myself ‘I managed to create a really powerful build for my character. That’s my goal, that’s the goal I’ve set for myself within a certain amount of time since I’ve reached level 100’. It’s the aspiration we hope players want to pursue. There are some cosmetic things and other things you can have after that fight, but it’s not about getting new gear – that’s itIt’s about dealing with that particular boss.”
We remind you that Diablo 4 is expected for June 6th on PC and consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, you can pre-order it on Amazon). Just in the last few hours Blizzard has also unveiled what are the requirements to play on Windows, while players are warming up their engines for the final pre-launch beta.
