At the end of The Mandalorian season 2, The Book of Boba Fett was announced, a series that would be dedicated to the famous bounty hunter from the Star Wars movies. In the end, the show was not only about Boba Fett, but a number of episodes were also about Din Djarin, the protagonist of The Mandalorian.
It would have been fair to give Boba Fett some extra screentime in The Mandalorian season 3. That was originally the intention, says actor Temuera Morrison during a Q&A at SUPANOVA Comic Con. MSN reports. Apparently, the actor has been forgotten by Disney and Lucasfilm.
“I was supposed to be in The Mandalorian season 3, but nobody called me. I was waiting by the phone in New Zealand, waiting and ready to give up.”
Is Boba Fett coming back?
The big question now is whether the famous bounty hunter will get a role in The Mandalorian. Morrison has no answer to that, because he doesn’t know that himself yet. The actor also thinks it’s because of the changes currently going on at Disney. The ‘new’ CEO Bob Iger is really sweeping the company through, which has already resulted in many layoffs.
The last episode of The Mandalorian season 3 aired last week. The entire season is now available on Disney+.
