Dota 2 update introduces massive changes

On Friday night, Valve rolled out one of the biggest updates to Dota 2 in a long time. Update number 7.33 introduces extensive changes to the game experience, including expanding the map.

Via the game’s website, Valve says that the Dota 2 map has become 40 percent larger. The developer points out that the different paths people play on – so-called lanes – are still the same distance apart, but that there will be more space on the outside.

– The Dota map has been extensively expanded. The main objective of the game remains the same, lanes are not further apart and everything you need to win is still in the center of the map. But with 40 percent more terrain, there is more than enough room to gather new resources and discover new strategies, writes Valve.

To make it a little easier to navigate the larger map, two portals have entered. These allow players to move from corner to corner. Roshan has also found two new homes in the north-west and south-east, and will alternate between where he stays.

Otherwise, Valve announces adjustments to all heroes, with major changes to, for example, Ogre Magi, Arc Warden and Clinkz. New items have also been added, while existing items have undergone an overhaul. Among other things, this entails major changes for the popular Black King Bar (BKB).

You can read through all the 7.33 changes on the Dota 2 website.
