While the original manga has been over for over twenty-five years, Dragon Ball is still just as popular today. While Chapter 93 of Dragon Ball Super is expected on May 18, we can already see some boards in advance. This is a way for Shuiesha, the publishing house, to encourage readers to buy the next issue of V Jump, a magazine from the same family as Weekly Shonen Jump, but in a monthly format. To put things in context, at the end of the previous chapter, we see the confrontation between Goku and Broly on the planet of Beerus as part of a training. Because yes, at the end of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the antagonist becomes an ally, in the great tradition of Dragon Ball.
In the box unveiled this week, we discover Broly who seems to be about to transform. It is certainly a draft, but we note that the Saiyan still has black hair, which means that he is not in Super Saiyan. In the past, we know that Broly has a transformation of his own called the Enraged form. At such times, the character is angry and sees his eyes turn golden, while his hair takes on the Super Saiyan form. But above all, he sees his power considerably increased because this form channels the strength of a Saiyan when transforming into a Giant Ape, while keeping his human form, as explained by his father Paragus. However, like a Giant Ape, he is unable to control himself, making him a raging and dangerous beast.
However, in the board unveiled, we read that Broly says something, which implies that he is able to speak. Thus, one can wonder if the next chapter does not introduce a new form that allows the character to have the same power as in his enraged form, but this time being able to control himself. In any case, that’s what Goku seems to want to teach Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, except that in the movie, the young Saiyan is not able to get there without getting angry. Now we just have to wait to see if the next chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga will introduce a new overpowered form for Broly.
