I’m personally very much looking forward to Nightingale, a Victorian builder and explorer survival game from Inflexion. It looks like something New World could have become, but didn’t. Practically everything the developers have said and shown so far sounds interesting, and they’ve chosen the best name in the world for their game. That needs to be appreciated.
Those who were already trembling when they would be able to touch the novelty in the previously announced early access, however, will not be happy with the new developer diary. In it, in addition to a demonstration of how the work continues, you will also learn the unpleasant news about the postponement of early access. Originally, it was expected to start in the first half of this year, but it will finally open its doors only in the fall.

“The reason for the delay is simple: The testing process is working,” says Inflexion founder and former Bioware boss Aaryn Flynn. “The feedback from the players that they’ve included is helping tremendously, and the extra time will allow us to continue successfully without compromising the health of our team.”
“We intend to use the time to incorporate many things. We will improve user comfort and smooth the entire experience – for example by adjusting crafting animations. We’ll continue to tweak the game, adjust the pacing, and continue to work to make the worlds we build as mysterious and amazing as possible,” Flynn concluded.
Among other things, the delay also means that the studio will be able to move to Unreal Engine 5.2. They probably mean it when they say they value player feedback, as they will continue to run various testing sessions. Those interested in participating can head to the game’s official website, sign up, and hope that the creators will select them for the next one, which will take place next week.
