Netflix has released a teaser trailer for the third season of The Witcher series, which will premiere this summer.
The trailer, which can be viewed below, reveals that Season 3 will be available on the streaming platform in two parts, with the first being released on June 29th and the second on July 27th.
The series, which debuted in 2019 to positive reviews, is primarily based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s best-selling book series, although it includes elements from CD Projekt’s blockbuster RPG gaming franchise of the same name.
Ahead of Season 2’s release in 2021, Netflix and CD Projekt jointly held the WitcherCon digital convention, which featured details on the creation of the series and games, plus interactive panels with stars like Henry Cavill and game developers.
In addition to the continuation of the adventures of the titular Witcher, the third season of The Witcher series will also have a kind of farewell note. Henry Cavill recently confirmed that he will step down from the role of Geralt of Rivia after the end of the third season and will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth (Hunger Games).
