Attention, Kombatant, this is not a test! The much-speculated reboot is real and Mortal Kombat 1 will arrive on September 19, 2023. With a cinematic trailer, NetherRealm made a “bloody and nostalgic” announcement this Thursday morning (18).
Despite not delivering gameplay footage, the video does give us an early look at the visuals of several fighters. Sub-Zero, Scorpion and other faces already known by fans were present in the content. Check it out below:

The video also provided information about pre-ordering the game. Those who make the advance purchase, which will start on Friday (19) at 10 am – Brasilia time – will receive Shang Tsung as a playable character.
In addition, the company revealed that it is preparing beta tests for the game in August. The date will be revealed later on, so keep an eye out.
Mortal Kombat 1 will not be released on PS4
As previously announced, Mortal Kombat 1 will not have versions for the old generation consoles, coming only to the PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC.
