It’s been over a year since Rockstar first officially confirmed the existence of GTA VI.
Many got their first glimpse of the game in an unexpected way in the huge leak from September last year after Rockstar was the target of a hack.
However, a response given by Rockstar Games in its latest earnings call, GTA VI could release in 2024. The publisher has said that it predicts big results for fiscal years 2025 and 2026. While 2025 may seem a bit far off, the year fiscal 2025 actually starts in April 2024, so the release of GTA VI may be closer than it seems. Now, as GamesIndustry reports, we also know that GTA VI is ready to run on PS5 Pro consoles and the new version of Xbox Series X.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick (Take-Two is Rockstar’s parent company) was asked if he expects to see another round of hardware released before the console generation is over. He replied that this would “probably” be the case, but said it “wouldn’t affect the business much.” After all, if it’s anything like the previous Pro editions, they do run regular base console games.
Rumors of a PS5 Pro have been circulating for several years. In March, experts stated that the console would be released in 2024. Leave us your comment.
