The plans were revealed somewhat in passing in an open letter from the studio’s management. There, Guerrilla announced its new management team – following studio head Angie Smets’ recent move to PlayStation Studios – while also hinting at the future of Horizon.
– We have full confidence in our new leadership team as they steer Guerrilla towards a bright future and expand the Horizon world with Aloy’s next adventure and our exciting online project.
The news doesn’t come as a big surprise, but it’s just as well the first time Guerrilla has officially talked about a sequel to Horizon Forbidden West. Exactly what kind of adventure awaits Aloy this time is of course not certain, so here fans will have to wait nicely for more information.
Horizon Forbidden West also got a new expansion last week. Burning Shores – as it’s called – lets players explore Los Angeles, looking for new mysteries to solve. Burning Shores launched exclusively for PlayStation 5 on April 19.
