A few hours after the debut of the first Mortal Kombat 1 trailer, the development team unbuttoned some game mechanics by publishing a series of information on the official portal. One of the most interesting details certainly concerns the introduction of the Kameo Fighters.
In a presumably similar way to what has already been seen in episodes of fighting games known to the public (including King of Fighters and Marvel vs Capcom), the new Mortal Kombat chapter will allow you to select both the fighter to be used in the match as the main character and an ally who will provide him with support. At the moment we don’t know how this mechanic will work in detail, but we imagine that the player can press a button to summon a CPU-controlled fighter who will burst onto the screen, punch the enemy and then walk away.
The peculiarity of this mechanic consists in the fact that the support characters they are untied from the roster and this will allow developers to indulge themselves with the creation of heroes that can be used only and exclusively as Kameo Fighter.
Waiting to find out more, we remind you that the game will only arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC next September 19, 2023but the purchase of the special editions will allow you to play a few days in advance, i.e. from 14 September.
