After several complications in its development, Lords Of The Fallen is finally presented as a spiritual successor to the 2014 title.
What we see in the trailer of Lords Of The Fallen is awesome. This new installment, perhaps a remake, perhaps a sequel, perhaps a reboot, of The Lords Of The Fallen of 2014, it is a soulslike RPG that has a planned release date of October 13, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. However, regardless of what it was about the previous title, the story is set a thousand years after the proposal of The Lords Of The Fallen.
If they were looking for an effective trailer, the people of Hexworks, its developers, have achieved it. The game is everything soulslike it has to be, with all those spices that give life to this type of game. The story, the settings, the enemies, the fighting style, everything is recreated to perfection and, if I may, it has nothing to envy to other already established titles.
However, it has not been an easy road for the game. First, it was going to be called Lords Of The Fallen 2but in between, it changed its developer company twice and ended up being what we are seeing today, due to budget problems and creative differences, as was made known at the time.
