Milestone and Dorna Sports SL have unveiled the new design of the MotoGP 23 career mode, one of the most important features of the series. This year Career presents itself with a renewed and even more realistic, dynamic and social formula. As the trailer below tells us, it will be a mode that anyone can fully enjoy thanks to the new neural aids, a system in which realism and ease of approach meet in perfect balance.
Here are the main features of the MotoGP 23 Career mode:
THE NEURAL AID SYSTEM: The highly anticipated MotoGP 23 feature, the Neural Aid System, will help beginners learn the secrets of riding thanks to an advanced AI support system, based on neural network technology. This innovative feature assists riders in braking, accelerating and handling, for a smoother and more engaging riding experience. The system is carefully calibrated to ensure fun for everyone, while players who want to fully master the game will find the best tools to improve their riding style and performance in the MotoGP Academy. Detailed descriptions will guide players along the track, teaching them how to navigate each section faster and more effectively.
A SIMPLE CAREER TO APPROACH: In MotoGP 23, Career mode begins after a Moto3 championship is finished. Easier to master than the MotoGP bikes, these bikes will allow players to familiarize themselves with the mechanics of this new edition. Depending on the results, players will be able to stay for another season in the same category or move up to Moto2, or even move on to race directly in MotoGP. This will please both those who want to experience all the different physics of the bikes and compete with riders in all three categories, as well as players who prefer to go directly to the higher class. Before each season players will be able to choose whether to race a short calendar of 10 rounds or the official one, which includes all 21* rounds of the world championship.
TURNING POINTS: MotoGP 23 introduces Turning Points, i.e. the key decisive moments of the game that will influence the players’ career. Throughout each season, players will come across a variety of scenarios, each with a different goal to achieve. Depending on the results obtained on the track, each career path will take a different turn. For example, from the initial tests to the summer break, based on their performance, players will be able to decide whether to renew with the same team, stay in their class or move up a category. The objectives will not only consist of winning races, but will also influence the development of the bike, allowing players to appreciate all the nuances of the game. This new career mode design will offer long-lasting challenges that can only be experienced by playing multiple seasons and exploring all of the game’s content.
THE SOCIAL NETWORK, RESPONSIBLY: MotoGP 23 has an innovative career mode that shifts the focus from the team manager to the rider. The career mode adapts to the players’ performance and features a fictional social network that emphasizes the digital personality of their alter ego. In-game narration includes commentary from opposing pilots which is linked to career goals. The behavior of the players on the social network will influence the response of the artificial intelligence during the race. For example, if players are too aggressive on the court, opponents may ask them to behave more appropriately. At that point, players can decide whether to change their attitude or respond aggressively, with the risk of creating heated rivalries. This will result in different levels of competitiveness that will affect the game: in the long run, having a negative relationship with other racers will make it difficult to form alliances. In summary, the game focuses a lot on the consequences of social interactions in the racing world.
TEAM DYNAMICS: In MotoGP 23, having a good reputation is essential, because it affects not only the way other riders react, but also the goals assigned to players by their team. And beware: if the player doesn’t join them, he could be fired at the end of the season! Furthermore, the game offers an even more realistic approach when joining a team, with only two places available, so players will have to compete with the factory drivers and prove their worth. For example, to join the Ducati team, players must first prove their skills with satellite teams such as Team Gresini MotoGP, Pramac Racing or VR46 Racing. Another example of dynamics of this type concerns new teams, such as GasGas Factory Racing, whose general objective will be to finish in the top 15 at the end of the championship. In case players do even better and manage to re-enter the top 10 before the summer break, a turning point will be activated and they will have the opportunity to earn the same bike development upgrades as the KTM factory team.
INTELLIGENT DEVELOPMENT: In MotoGP 23, the first rider of each team is responsible for bike development. To make their voices heard, players will have to prove that the role of co-pilot is not enough for them. Turning Points will allow players to climb the ladder and direct the team’s technical development during testing. This also applies to AI-managed teams, whose bikes start with basic parameters and progress as technical development progresses, which could have unpredictable consequences for the standings each season. Once in the role of first driver, players must analyze not only their own performance, but also that of their most competitive rivals and figure out how to drive technical development. By reading the MotoGP 23 Social Network and the comments of the other riders, players will have to figure out who to keep an eye on. Opponents will vary their performance each time based on the vehicle they race in and how they finished the previous season. This will affect the hierarchies within their teams, causing each season to be different from the previous one.
We remind you that MotoGP 23 will be released on June 8 on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch.
