For a long time, only a handful of animation studios have dominated the movie world, including giants like Pixar, DreamWorks and, of course, Disney. But lately more and more other studios have joined, with beautiful films as a result. Consider, for example, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from the Sony Pictures Animation Group.
Netflix is also fully committed to animation. The streaming service collaborates with several studios for animated films and series. From games in particular, many different projects have popped up, such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Arcane, Dragon Age: Absolution, and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. And then there’s Guillermo del Toro’s animated film Pinocchio, which took home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.
New animated movies from Netflix
It doesn’t stop there. Netflix has announced which animated films will appear on the streaming service in the next eighteen months. This is reported by The Verge, among others. Some films had already been announced, but there are also new titles. Netflix has not yet revealed exactly when the films will be released, but most projects have received an indication.
