Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, one of the most acclaimed games of recent years, is now going to be turned into an anime. The information is from the Anime News profile on Twitter, which had also already teased a PlayStation Productions game going down the same path. And today, with a new post, he hinted that it might be Ghost of Tsushima.
Of course, an anime adaptation could bring the endearing characters, rich narratives, and stunning settings of both games to life in a whole new way.
A Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice anime would have the opportunity to flesh out the game’s already complex story. While it already has an engaging narrative, there’s plenty of room to explore the characters’ backgrounds, kingdoms and factions, as well as their deeper motivations. The format would also allow the inclusion of additional stories and deepening of other stories.
In the case of Ghost of Tsushima, certainly the combat scenes would be a delight for fans. The katana battles, the stealth, its intense action sequences… Everything could be brought to life with careful animation and spectacular fight choreography. We can only hope that these projects really come out of paper!
Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima on the way to success
It is worth noting that games seem to have finally found a way to adapt. We’ve had the recent hits of The Last of Us (HBO), Uncharted, Sonic, Mario, League of Legends and Halo. All of these achieved impressive milestones, be they in audience reviews, expert ratings or even good box office.
