Anyone interested in CS:GO knows that s1mple is the best player of all time, but few know that soccer superstar Neymar is also very capable with a mouse and keyboard. The Ukrainian and the Brazilian have been friends for some time and got together yesterday during IEM Rio 2023 to play CS:GO on LAN. To the surprise of fans, Neymar almost matched s1mple’s performance in kills.
They played Mirage, a map perfect for casual players like Neymar, and stomped the enemy team 16-6. According to Neymar, s1mple has 26 kills and three assists in 22 rounds played, while Neymar has 22 kills and six assists. Two GOATs in one room, one of the fans commented on a photo of s1mpla with Neymar.
Neymar injured his ankle in mid-February. Since undergoing surgery in March, he has been spending more time in Brazil to recover rather than being constantly in France with his club Paris Saint-Germain. S1mple revealed in February that Neymar invited him to Paris but he didn’t have time, and now they are enjoying themselves in Rio.
Neymar has been playing CS:GO since 2016, when he invited then-SK Gaming stars FalleNa and coldzer to teach him some tricks and play a few matches together. In 2020, he also played with Team FURIA players Andrej “arT” Piovezan and Yuri “yuurih” Gomes against ZywOo, apEX and shox. On that occasion, he even managed to kill ZywOo with a knife in the game.
