It was probably only a matter of time before the rumors came true: Sony announces brand new PlayStation Showcase where the industry giant would like to present upcoming games to you.
It’s already in a week, cancel yourself on 24. May so directly in the calendar and write a big 10 p.m. under it, because the event will take place at a late hour. They want to entertain you for a little more than 60 minutes and present new games from in-house studios and numerous indie developers.
Sony: Sweepstakes in the PlayStation Showcase
While only the sober announcement from Sony took place on Twitter, the official blog went into a bit more detail and revealed what exactly will be seen at the PlayStation Showcase. No specific game titles were mentioned, which should ultimately remain a surprise. Big production fans but will obviously get their money’s worth just as much as indie lovers.
In the hour presentation will focus on PlayStation 5 and PS VR2 games currently in development, taking a “look at several new creations from PlayStation Studios”. Third-party manufacturers and indie developers should also be in the limelight during the event and round off the showcase.
See you soon!

You now have one week to speculate about the games that may be shown. In any case, there are still a few that have been announced and are still pending potential blockbusters: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine for example, or the sci-fi action role-playing game Stellar Blade. Meanwhile, the waiting time is shortened by looking at the competition: In the next few days you will get the Xbox Game Pass namely some new additions donated.
