After about three years without significant changes, cozy Stardew Valley is now getting a new update. This is reported by developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone on Twitter.
According to Barone, the new 1.6 update will be smaller than the big update that came in 2020. It eased local multiplayer, an additional farm and a number of new residents into the game, among other things.
– It has the most changes for those who mod the game (which makes the game easier and better to modify). But there is also new content in the game, but much less than it was in 1.5, writes Barone on Twitter.
Taking a break from a new project
The developer is taking a break from his new project, Haunted Chocolatier, to work on the update. Barone has been working on the game since 2020, and it was first unveiled in the fall of 2021.
Haunted Chocolatier is somewhat similar to Stardew Valley, but is about a magical chocolatier who lives in a haunted castle. Here you must collect rare ingredients and make chocolates, while living out your life in the surrounding urban environment.
Stardew Valley became a huge success after its launch in 2016. A couple of years ago, the game reached 15 million copies sold, and the game has been praised by critics and players alike for its relaxing and engaging farm life.
