After having to accept that Sony doesn’t appear to have any intention of supporting a sequel to Days Gone, Bend Studio she rolled up her sleeves and got to work on one new PS5 exclusiveon which the curtain could soon be raised.
Although the post-apocalyptic open world (you can find it on Amazon) has now accumulated a decent cult following, according to the PlayStation house the sales had not proved to be high enough to justify new chapters.
The new PlayStation Showcase could therefore reveal to us the unpublished latest effort of Bend Studio, judging by a new clue launched by the development team on their own social channels.
As reported by Push Square, the authors of Days Gone and Siphon Filter have recalled that in 2023 the 30th anniversary of the company, officially born back in 1993.
After thanking fans for their continued support over the years, the studio concluded their message by noting that they will «can’t wait» to show us their next game.
This year, we celebrate our 30th Anniversary at Bend Studio! 🎉
Established in 1993, our studio continues to evolve from our roots of passion and innovation. Thank you for your support over 30 years of games from Syphon Filter to Days Gone. We can’t wait to show you what’s next! pic.twitter.com/l2G5x9DKDh

We currently know that this mysterious new PS5 exclusive should be a new one open worlddeveloped with the Horizon Forbidden West graphics engine and also used by Death Stranding.
However, it still remains to be understood if this will be the new project of Bend Studio or if a further mysterious PS5 exclusive will be revealed to kill time.
At the same time, we don’t know for sure if the new announcement will arrive during the May 24 Showcase or if everything will be revealed at a later time: what appears certain, however, is that Bend Studio is preparing to launch its next big title.
With all due respect to those fans who continue to hope for a possible Days Gone 2, to the point that the related online petition continues to be signed by many players.
