These Ubisoft games are coming to Steam soon

Last December, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800, and Roller Champions on Steam. At the beginning of this year, a number of titles were added, including The Division 2 and Watch Dogs: Legion. Now some more titles will be added in the coming months. These are Far Cry 6, Riders Republic, Rainbow Six Extraction and Monopoly Madness.

When will these Ubisoft games be released on Steam?

You don’t have to expect long on these games. They appear in May and June:

Far Cry 6 on May 11Riders Republic on June 8Rainbow Six Extraction on June 15Monopoly Madness on June 22

So Ubisoft decided in 2019 to no longer release games on Steam. This had to do with the fact that on Steam Valve takes a whopping 30 percent per game sold. At competitor Epic Games this is only 12 percent. Ubisoft thought this was a lot cheaper and therefore only released games on Epic Games and its own platform.

The publisher explained to The Verge in November why Ubisoft chose to return to Steam. The company said it is constantly figuring out how to bring games to as many players as possible without sacrificing the number of players on Ubisoft Connect.
