After a long period of open beta in Early Access on Steam, Torchlight: Infinite is preparing for release on both PC and mobile.
XD Games’ free-to-play action RPG will be available on both platforms from May 9th. On that date, a new season will begin which introduces an additional playable character, new content, as well as radical changes to the loot and crafting system. In the intentions of the developers, Cube of Rapacity, this is the title of the season, will act as a new “entry point” for new players who approach Torchlight: Infinite for the first time.
Among the novelties we find Escapist Bing, a new hero able to take on hordes of enemies hordes of enemies with his explosives. In addition, the new season will add a brand new mechanic focused on the system of risks and rewards: during each game it will be possible to find cubes that will donate rare artifacts to players, but be careful because this system could punish those who get too caught up in greed.
To top it all off, XD Games lets you know that Torchlight: Infinite will support cross-platform progressionallowing anyone to automatically transfer progress from PC to mobile, and vice versa.
