Update – ING problem solved
You should be able to use ING’s services normally again. The bank reports via Twitter that the malfunction is over and the website also states that there are no malfunctions. There are still some reports on Allestoringen, but there has been a sharp decrease.
Original message:
It sometimes happens that the working week is kicked off with a bank failure. Now it is, for example, at ING. Since about 9 a.m. this morning, reports have been coming in at a rapid pace at Allestoringen, where there is now a rising peak of over 1400.
Fortunately, the malfunction has already been noticed by ING, as can be seen on the bank’s Twitter page, where many complaints are received, and via the bank’s website. On the page where malfunctions are recorded, it is stated that processing payments takes longer than usual. This applies to both private and business customers. Mobile banking is also not working properly.
When will the ING malfunction be resolved?
It sometimes happens that a fault suddenly and quietly disappears. It is of course to be hoped that this time too there will be an improvement soon, but that point does not seem to have been reached yet. There are no estimates yet of when you will be able to use all ING services again.
If you are unable to make a payment, there is always the option to try again later. Even with larger failures, it is rare that the problems last all day. If all goes well, you can simply pay via iDeal and in stores. There is also no problem with ATMs.
