Although the announcement of Mortal Kombat 1 only happened with a CG trailer and we will have to wait a couple of weeks to see the gameplay in motion, we already know some of the main features of the violent fighting game in upcoming matches.
Through a dedicated FAQ page on the official portal, Netherrealm Studios has confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1 implementerà il rollback netcode in the discounts that will be held in the online multiplayer modes.
For those who don’t know what we’re talking about, netcode rollback is a particular technology that predicts the player’s next moves and, in doing so, it anticipates the inputs and makes the match much more fluid even when the quality of the connection is far from perfect. As you can guess, therefore, it is a fundamental system for any fighting game, without which there is the risk of having an experience with moments of lag and moves / combinations that do not hit.
While waiting to be able to verify if the technology has been correctly implemented during the Beta version of Mortal Kombat 1, we remind you that it is already possible to try to register to take part in the tests that will be held during the summer of 2023.
As for the final version, this will be available from September 19, 2023with early access (included only in the most expensive editions) kicking off on September 14th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
